Before You Apply

You must be at least 18 years or older, or be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Submission of an application is your commitment to go. If we purchase a plane ticket for you and you are unable to go, you will still be responsible for the full cost of the ticket and any other non-refundable costs.
Please be aware that most mission projects require a great deal of walking and physical exertion – far more than many Americans are used to on a daily basis. 

To make the application process quicker, please have the following items easily accessible: passport/driver's license, current medical information, contact info for references/emergency contacts.

 

About This Opportunity

GraceWorks Alaska exists to share the gospel and mobilize mission team volunteers to carry out the good news - to bring the love of Christ to people in Alaskan communities. GraceWorks ministers to non-churched people by sharing Bible stories, feeding the hungry, leading recreation, playing games, doing crafts, and enjoying worship. They utilize this foundation to connect those they serve with the message of Jesus, so that His name is taken to the ends of the earth. Their goal is to transform Alaska by winning new believers, growing disciples and starting new gatherings of believers. 

Our team will be partnering with GraceWorks to host VBS in the parks around Anchorage. We will play games, do crafts, share Bible stories, and provide food to those at the park. Through all of this, our goal is to demonstrate Christ through our words and actions and to help others move from their point of need to hope in Christ!
