Going on a Philippine Mission Trip is something I had prayed about for several years. Last year while on a Medical Mission Trip in Brazil , Pastor Scott told us he was planning a Medical Mission Trip this summer to the Philippines. I immediately knew that I was supposed to be a part of that team. Knowing that the travel would be long and it would be very hot I did not let my focus go to those things. I prayed for a great team that I would be a part of that would show and tell the love of Jesus. It was a great team with great leadership. Jack and Marpet’s love for the Filipino people was stronger than I could have imagined and the love they showed us was just as strong. The JPA church members ( mostly younger people) were amazing. Watching them show and tell their love for Jesus to their community was such a blessing. I was truly blessed to serve along side them at the medical clinic. The last night my interpreter Karen gave me an engraved keychain that said Ms. Cynthia always remember that you left half your heart in the Philippines.She was right I will always love and cherish the people I met in the Philippines. I left far more blessed than any blessing I gave them. Thanks for letting me serve.
