I was blessed to be part of the mission trip to Manhattan, Montana. We were a group of ten. We went knowing that this was a physically hard working trip. We did not focus on that at all. We worked hard, grew close among ourselves, and shared devotions that sometimes brought tears to our eyes. We went to help represent Keystone Church and Pastor William Johnson his wife Teresa and son Quinton doing different projects in the Manhattan community. Manhattan is a small town and William and Teresa love their community and show their love helping with many community projects. We helped the local school system building benches, cleaning up pickle ball courts and lots of pulling tumble weeds that were everywhere.
We helped the Volunteer Fire Department (which William and Quinton are members ) by washing fire trucks inside and outside making them parade worthy. We also cleaned the fire department and set it up for the pancake breakfast. We helped serve, cook, carried food from grills to servers, filled drinks, cleaned tables and emptied trash There were over 1250 people served at the pancake breakfast. After the breakfast we immediately put a Keystone Shirt on and marched in the parade giving out 1500 bottles of water labeled with Keystone Church information. Then went back to the Fire Department cleaned and packed everything up. Later that afternoon we walked the parade route again picking up trash and emptying the city trash cans. The amazing thing about this is the city is starting to take notice of KeyStone Church and William and Teresa. William and Teresa were with us every step of the way with every project we did and worked really hard. God sure has blessed Manhattan Montana with William and Teresa. Keystone Church is growing and has almost outgrown their current location. Let’s pray that a new larger building opens soon. Thanks First
Baptist for letting me be a part of a great mission trip
