It was great to see how Jesus on Colfax and Calvary New City is showing up and showing love to the people on East Colfax Avenue. I was particularly encouraged by the Rise Program where a small number of people get the equipping they need to not only take a step toward a more stable life, but to put their faith in Jesus Christ. We worked on an old motel where participants in Rise will live while going through the program. My heart rejoiced when I thought about the people who would stay in those rooms finding hope in so many ways.
